Average salary in Ukraine may reach US$370 in 2018 – PM Groysman

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says one of the Cabinet's priorities is the growth of average salaries, which may reach UAH 10,000 (US$370) in 2018.

"The key priority is average salary. We want to bring it up to UAH 10,000. It's real. Now salaries are already exceeding UAH 8,000 [$296]," the Cabinet's press service quoted the prime minister as saying on August 6.

According to the official, the government's economic policy contributes to the achievement of the goal, including in the context of deregulation and fighting shadow economy schemes.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the minimum wage in Ukraine grew on January 1, 2018, from UAH 3,200 (US$118) to UAH 3,723 ($128) The government is considering a further increase to UAH 4,200 ($155).
