Ukrainian farmers have already shipped 1.7 million tonnes of wheat abroad.
Ukrainian agribusinesses exported 3.9 million tonnes of grain from July 1, 2018, the start of the 2018-2019 marketing year (MY), to August 15, 2018.

In particular, Ukraine exported 1.7 million tonnes of wheat, 1.2 million tonnes of barley, and 1 million tonnes of maize, the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's press service said.
Over the period under review, the agrarians also shipped 20,700 tonnes of flour abroad.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry and grain exporters on August 10 signed a memorandum of understanding to seal wheat exports in the 2018-2019 MY at 16 million tonnes.
In the 2017-2018 MY, Ukrainian agrarians exported 39.4 million tonnes of grain, including 17.1 million tonnes of wheat. Asian, African and European countries were the major buyers of Ukrainian grain in the first half of 2018.
