The new initiative will be launched in spring 2019 – infrastructure minister
Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan has said Ukraine in spring 2019 will start installing on key routes that lead to Kyiv automatic weighing systems for heavy vehicles.
The automatic system will exclude the so-called "human factor," according to Omelyan, who says that drivers will not be able to "settle" their violations with inspectors, TV Channel 5 reports.

"There will be artificial intelligence that will stop everyone. We start around Kyiv from next year. Starting spring, 10 automatic weighing systems will be installed along all key routes leading to Kyiv," the minister said.
Overload sensors will be installed in roadways.
As UNIAN reported, the World Bank announced a tender for the purchase of 10 weight-in-motion complexes for the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Security worth $4.9 million.
