Ukrainians in July bought the record amount of cash currency in banks since the beginning of 2015, namely $917.8 million.
The purchase of currency for this period exceeded the previous historical maximum at $736.5 million recorded in December 2017, as reported on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine.

At the same time, the sale of currency by the population through banks continues to exceed its purchase, amounting to $135.3 million in July and $1.370 billion from the beginning of the year.
As UNIAN reported earlier, net sales of cash foreign currency by the population of Ukraine through the banking system amounted to $2.4 billion in 2017.
