"[This is] testing of Ukraine's cruise missile," reads a caption to the video, posted by experts of Kyiv's Luch State Design Bureau on August 27.

The video shows the operation of the starting and propulsion engines of the five-meter-long Neptun.

Hitting the target is not shown.

As was earlier reported, three modifications of Neptun would be tested, namely air-, ground- and sea-launched cruise missiles whose maximum range is up to 300 kilometers.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 17 conducted a test firing of the locally developed Neptun anti-ship cruise missile capable of hitting targets located as far as up to 300 km away.

As was reported, the testing of the missile began in January 2018 with flying tests.
