Hungarian airlines Wizz Air, the largest discount carrier in Central and Eastern Europe, has announced five new routes from Ukraine to Latvia, Germany, and Denmark.
In particular, the air carrier will open new flights to Bremen (Germany), Riga (Latvia), Billund (Denmark) from Kyiv International Airport (Zhulyany) in March 2019, as well as to Copenhagen (Denmark) and in December 2018, to Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (Germany) from Danylo Halytskyi International Airport "Lviv," Executive Vice President and Deputy CEO of Wizz Air Holdings Plc. Stephen Jones said at a press conference in Kyiv on August 30.
The Kyiv-Riga flight will be launched on March 2, 2019. It is expected to operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The Kyiv-Bremen flight will be carried out on Mondays and Fridays from March 1; the Kyiv-Billund flight will also operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 2 March; flights on the route Lviv-Copenhagen will be launched on March 3 to operate on Wednesdays and Sundays, and the flights from Lviv to Frankfurt-Hahn will be carried out on Mondays and Fridays starting December 14, 2018.

According to Jones, tickets can be purchased at a price starting from as low as UAH 759 (EUR 24.99).
The official also announced plans to deploy their fourth Airbus A320 to Kyiv.
UNIAN memo. Wizz Air low-cost carrier operates on over 600 routes from 25 bases, connecting 141 destinations in 44 countries. The airline's fleet consists of 104 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Wizz Air shares are quoted on the London Stock Exchange under "WIZZ" ticker, and included in the FTSE 250 and FTSE All-Share Indices.
Today, three Wizz Air A320 aircraft, which are based in Kyiv International Airport, are operating in the Ukrainian market.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian state-owned railway company Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) had begun selling tickets for the train of "four capitals," which will run from Kyiv to Riga through Vilnius and Minsk.
