The exact fare will be known after the tenders for toll roads construction have been held.
Ukraine's Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan says the rates on future toll highways across Ukraine are expected to be in the range of 20-70 euro cents per kilometer.
"The toll fare in Ukraine will vary between 20 and 70 euro cents per kilometer. A discussion is now underway. If we talk about the fare in China, it's about 20 euro cents, while in Europe it is set at 50-70 euro cents," the minister told Ukraine's Priamyi TV Channel on August 31.
According to Omelyan, the exact fare will be known after the tenders for toll roads construction have been held.
The minister noted that the construction of a toll road between Lviv and Krakivets would be announced this year. If the tender is successful, the construction will be launched in 2019.

In addition, the infrastructure ministry began drafting feasibility study paperwork related to the Kyiv-Bila Tserkva highway," the official added.
As UNIAN reported earlier, talks on the construction of first high quality toll roads began back in 2016. Officials then said that the highways would be first built between Kyiv and Bila Tserkva, as well as between Krakivets and Lviv. Later, they planned to start construction of the so-called trans-European corridor between the ports in Gdansk and Odesa. Highway tolls were expected to be set by relevant construction companies. In 30-50 years, all highways will be transferred to state ownership.
