Electricity consumption grows by 3.3% for seven months, to 70.9 bln kWh – Energy Ministry

In July, electricity consumption, excluding technological losses in networks, increased by 3.9%.

The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine says electricity consumption, excluding technological losses in the networks, grew by 3.3% in January-July 2018 year-over-year, to 70.93 billion kWh.

According to the report, electricity consumption, taking into account such technological losses, has increased by 2.9%, to 88.5 billion kWh over the seven months of 2018 y-o-y.

In July, electricity consumption, excluding technological losses in networks, increased by 3.9%, to 9.44 billion kWh y-o-y.

According to the ministry, at the same time, electricity consumption was reduced by some industrial consumers, in particular, in the fuel industry (by 2.9%), construction materials industry (by 0.3%), and transport (by 0.8%).
