The hryvnia devalued against the U.S. dollar by 5.7% in August.
The National Bank of Ukraine on Thursday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by 19 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 28.22 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for September 7:
US$100 costs UAH 2,822.4632 (UAH 2,841.1552 as of September 6);
EUR 100 costs UAH 3,283.6537 (UAH 3,290.6260 as of September 6).

As UNIAN reported earlier, the hryvnia devalued against the U.S. dollar by 5.7% in August. The weakening of the hryvnia against the euro has amounted to 5.8% for this period.
