PM Groysman pledges to submit draft budget for 2019 before Sept 15

The budget will be based on realistic figures.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says that the Ukrainian government is at the final stage of drafting the national budget for 2019 and is ready to submit it to parliament for discussion before September 15.

"We are working on the final version of the budget. It will be presented on time. Real figures and numbers will be provided. What matters to me are stability, predictability and feasibility. On September 15, we'll submit the budget and we will defend it," the Cabinet's press service quoted Groysman as saying on television.

As UNIAN reported, the national budget of Ukraine in January-August 2018 received UAH 607.470 billion, or US$21.5 billion, in revenue, which was by UAH 18.984 billion, or 3%, lower than the planned figure for this period.

UNIAN memo. Ukraine's national budget for 2018 sets revenue at UAH 917.9 billion (US$32.5 billion) and expenditures at UAH 991.7 billion (US$35.2 billion), the highest level deficit is limited to UAH 80.6 billion (US$2.86 billion), or 2.4% of GDP.
