Ukraine's gas giant Naftogaz pays US$3.15 bln in taxes, dividends in eight months

Naftogaz is the country's largest state-run vertically integrated oil and gas holding.

National joint-stock company (NJSC) Naftogaz of Ukraine transferred about UAH 88.2 billion, or US$3.15 billion, in taxes and dividends to the national budget in January-August 2018.

Payments from the companies belonging to the Naftogaz Group accounted for about 18.7% of the total revenue of the country's budget over the period under review, the company's press service said.

As UNIAN reported, Naftogaz in 2017 paid more than UAH 100 billion, or US$3.57 billion, in taxes and dividends to the budget. Last year, the state holding boosted net profit by 48%, to UAH 39.3 billion, or US$1.4 billion.

Naftogaz develops oil and gas fields, produces crude oil and natural gas. Its core business is also transportation and trade in fuel through its own network of filling stations.
