Swiss asset management company buys stake in Ukraine's Bank Lviv

The Swiss investor will become a majority shareholder in Bank Lviv after the purchase of a new issue of shares.

Swiss-based asset management company responsAbility Participations AG has acquired a 40% stake in Ukraine's Bank Lviv, which ranked 42nd in terms of assets among 82 banks operating in Ukraine as of August 1.

The bank's controlling stake remains in the ownership of Margeir Pétursson, an investor from Iceland, the banks' press service said. However, the Swiss investor will buy shares of a new issue and become a majority shareholder in the bank with a 51% stake.

As reported, Bank Lviv is the Swiss company's first investment project in Ukraine.
