Ukraine's balance of payments saw a surplus in January-August 2018, totaling US$164 million, which was 87.2% down from the surplus recorded at $1.282 billion in the same period last year.
In August 2018 alone, the surplus of the balance of payments was $27 million, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
The negative balance of the current account in August 2018 was estimated at $601 million and in January-June 2018 at $2.091 million.

The inflow to the financial account in August 2018 totaled $625 million. It has grown to $2.224 million since the beginning of the year.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the surplus of Ukraine's balance of payments in 2017 stood at $2.566 billion, which was twice the surplus posted in 2016. The balance showed a surplus for the third year in a row.
