A motorway bridge is to be built to link the Ukrainian and Romanian banks of the Danube, which will become part of European route E87 (Odesa – Reni – Galati – Constanta – Varna – Malko-Tarnovo – Dereköy – Izmir – Antalya).
Corresponding proposals with pre-project blueprints were presented to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, the Odesa-headquartered Dumskaya online newspaper said.

The tentative cost of the project is EUR 243 million, head of Odesa region's road service Oleh Varyvoda said.
The bridge will link Ukraine's Orlivka and Romania's Isaccea, where they have been trying to build a ferry for many years.
The length of the facility will be 1,050 meters (the width of the river there is 930 meters).
There will be entry and exit terminals and a joint checkpoint on the Ukrainian side.
"After the repair of the Odesa-Reni highway, freight traffic along it has increased significantly, and the bridge will boost it tenfold," Varyvoda said.
As UNIAN reported, Poroshenko and Borissov visited Ukraine's Odesa region to check the progress of repairs to the M15 Odesa-Reni highway and the construction of a bridge crossing on the route between Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey.
