In September 2018, Ukrainians sold through the banking system cash foreign currency worth $215 million more than they bought, the National Bank of Ukraine says.
During the said period, the population sold in banks $964 million, while buying $749 million, the central bank reported on its website.
According to the NBU, since yea-start, the sale of currency by the population through banks exceeded its purchase by $1.539 billion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in August, Ukrainians updated the record high of currency purchases through the banking system from the beginning of 2015, recorded a month earlier, buying currency worth $1.045 billion.
Net sales of cash foreign currency by the population through the Ukrainian banking system in 2017 amounted to $2.4 billion.
