"The H31 Dnipro-Reshetylivka highway was built way back in the '60s and has never been repaired properly. This route is very important since it connects the [cities of] Dnipro, Poltava and Kyiv. Therefore, the government has decided to build here a new 80-kilometer-long concrete road, which is much more rigid than a conventional tarmacked road. The first kilometers of the road are already being built. The last pavement layer is being laid at one of the sections. This will be one of the most modern highways in Ukraine," he wrote on Facebook on October 8.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the State Road Agency of Ukraine, Ukravtodor, said it planned to repair a 40-kilometer section of the highway H14 Kropyvnytskyi-Mykolaiv with a concrete runway, as well as that of H31 Dnipro-Reshetylivka in 2018. About UAH 2 billion was allocated for the construction of road junctions and concrete runway. According to Ukravtodor, some concrete runway projects in Ukraine, for example, a bypass road near the city of Zhytomyr, are funded by international partners.
