Ukraine's money supply grows by 1.2 % in Sept

The money base increased by 0.6% in September.

Ukraine's money supply (or M3, the aggregate of cash in circulation and non-cash funds in the accounts of individuals, legal entities and the state) grew by 1.2% in September 2018, to UAH 1.249 trillion ($44.5 billion).

This indicator has increased by 3.3% since the beginning of the year, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

Meanwhile, money base (all central bank liabilities that can be used to create monetary supply, including cash in circulation and liabilities to credit organizations) rose by 0.6% in September, while it has grown by 6.3% since the beginning of the year, to UAH 424.4 billion ($15.1 billion).

UNIAN memo. Ukraine's monetary base expanded by 4.6% in 2017, to UAH 399.057 billion ($14.2 billion), while its money supply increased by 9.5%, to UAH 1.208 trillion ($43 billion).
