In total, 25 deliveries of break stone amounting to 28,000 tonnes have been made to Russia.
The Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine's Autonomous Republic of Crimea (ARC) is probing into the involvement of Ukrainian and foreign companies in the construction of the Kerch Strait Bridge.
"We have launched criminal proceedings into this fact and are probing it. We have also opened a criminal case on the construction of the Kerch Strait Bridge since this significantly affects the environment," Prosecutor Gunduz Mamedov said, as reported by a Krym-Realii media project on October 10.
The prosecutor said that his office had drafted and forwarded to European partners a number of requests for international legal assistance to establish the involvement of foreign companies in the bridge construction.

As was earlier reported earlier, SBU security operatives have collected evidence proving that the management of one of the Ukrainian enterprises that mines break stone has set up deliveries to the Russian Federation, the SBU press service reports. The suspects mined minerals without relevant permits in the quarries owned by a Russian national, then selling break stone via intermediaries of a Russian company that is a subsidiary of JSC Mostozhelezhelezobetonkonstruktsiya.
A total of 25 deliveries of break stone with a total weight of 28,000 tonnes was made to Russia. Because of the cooperation of the Ukrainian commercial structure with Russian enterprises that carry out economic activities on the temporarily annexed territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the investigation sees in the actions of businessmen signs of support for the occupational administration of the Russian Federation on the peninsula,” the statement reads.
An opening ceremony of the highway part of the Kerch Strait bridge, which connects Russia with the annexed Crimea, took place on May 15. Russian President Vladimir Putin personally attended at the event. The European Union imposed sanctions on companies that participated in the construction of the bridge.
