The Ukrainian State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service says the People's Republic of China within its mission, which started work in Ukraine on October 10, is studying the possibility of importing poultry meat from Ukraine.

"A mission of the People's Republic of China began its work in Ukraine on October 10, 2018, to assess the state poultry disease control system," the Ukrainian agency's press service said in a statement on October 11.
The main task of the mission is to boost cooperation between Ukraine and China and strengthen bilateral trade, it said.
The Chinese delegates will learn more about the State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service and its local offices, as well as about the system of state laboratories and measures of state control over poultry health.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service and the General Administration Customs of the People's Republic of China in June signed a memorandum on cooperation and promotion of mutual trade in poultry meat.
