Agricultural output in Ukraine increased by 5% since year-start

Agricultural enterprises increased their output by 7.8%, while private farms – by 1.9%.

The growth of agricultural output in Ukraine in January-September of this year was at 4.9% compared with the same period in 2017, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.

In particular, agricultural enterprises increased their output by 7.8%, while private farms – by 1.9%.

Crop production in the nine months of this year increased by 6.9% compared with January-September last year. Growth in the output of these products at agricultural enterprises amounted to 9.8%, and in private farms – to 3.8%.

At the same time, livestock production in January-September decreased by 0.1%.

The figure for agricultural enterprises increased by 2.2%, while that for private farms decreased by 3.1%.

The State Statistics Service noted that the data presented do not take into account information from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and part of the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the decline in agricultural output in Ukraine in 2017 was at 2.7% compared with 2016. In particular, agricultural enterprises reduced output by 3.9%, and private farms - by 1.2%.
