National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine says Naftogaz Trading gas supply company (GSC) on October 12 signed the first contracts for the sale and purchase of natural gas according to a new model of gas sales to industrial enterprises.

"On October 12, Naftogaz Trading concluded the first contracts for the sale and purchase of natural gas in the format of a new sales model. Deliveries to consumers have already been made under all the contracts," the Naftogaz press service said in a statement.
It is noted the pricing provides for changes in the cost of gas several times a day, according to changes in the European market and fluctuations in the hryvnia exchange rate.
As UNIAN reported earlier, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine created three subsidiaries for supplying gas directly to the industry, municipal heating companies and households in circumvention of regional gas distribution companies, most of which belong to Ukrainian businessman Dmytro Firtash.
Naftogaz of Ukraine GSC will supply gas to households, Naftogaz Heat GSC will deliver gas to local heat suppliers, and Naftogaz Trading GSC to commercial customers.
UNIAN memo. NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine is the largest state-run vertically integrated oil and gas holding whose subsidiaries account for about 90% of oil and gas production in Ukraine. Naftogaz develops oil and gas fields, produces crude oil and natural gas. Its core business is also transportation and trade in fuel through its own network of filling stations.
