Ukraine starts selling Chinese electric cars (Photo)

Ukraine has started selling Chinese-made electric cars Fulu Mk1 worth UAH 109,900 (US$3,936).

The car has a rather small size: the length is 2,450 mm, the width is 1,230 mm, the height is 1,550 mm, and the weight is only 435 kg. But at the same time, designers created a four-seater car, Autogeek reported.

The electric motor develops 2.2 kWh and allows the car to accelerate to 45 km per hour.

Lead batteries provide a power reserve of 120 km. The car can be charged in eight hours, it said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, sales of electric cars in Ukraine in January-July 2018 grew by 64% year-over-year (y-o-y), to 2,290 units.

The Nissan Leaf model is the most popular electric car in Ukraine, as some 1,612 car drivers preferred it to buy in January-June 2018.

The BMW i3 model ranked second in terms of sales. Some 182 Ukrainians bought this electric car over the period under review.

The Tesla Model S was third with 123 cars sold.

The Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry plans to increase the share of electric car sales on the domestic car market to 15% before 2020 as part of a program to stimulate the development of the country's electric car market.
