Revenue from small-scale privatization campaign in Ukraine estimated at US$10.2 mln

Over 200 successful auctions to sale small-scale facilities have taken place for the time being.

First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Maksym Nefyodov says revenue from the small-scale privatization campaign is estimated at UAH 285 million (US$10.2 million).

"We are holding auctions, which are attended by tens of hundreds of buyers. We see that prices are increasing by 83% on average compared to the starting ones. I think the results are excellent," he said in the parliament on October 19.

According to the official, the sale of small-scale facilities is carried out through 33 electronic platforms. Several more e-platforms should receive accreditation soon, he added.

Nefyodov says over 200 successful auctions to sale small-scale facilities have taken place for the time being.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the State Property Fund of Ukraine on March 28 approved a list of almost 660 facilities of small-scale privatization that are subject to sale in 2018.

Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers on May 10 adopted a package of resolutions aimed at launching a small-scale privatization campaign in Ukraine.

In early July, ten electronic platforms were accredited for selling facilities of the small-scale privatization.

The State Property Fund on August 10 announced auctions to sell 147 small-scale facilities whose starting price was UAH 70 million ($2.5 million).

The SPF expects to get from UAH 1.5 billion ($53.4 million) to UAH 1.7 billion ($60.5 million) from the sale of the said assets.

Assets of the small-scale privatization are real estate, small businesses whose nominal value does not exceed UAH 250 million ($9 million).
