The volume of public and publicly guaranteed debt of Ukraine in September decreased by $190 million, or 0.3%, to $74.66 billion.
According to the Ministry of Finance, in the hryvnia equivalent, public debt for this period decreased by UAH 3.9 billion, or 0.2%, to UAH 2.113 trillion.
According to the data released, compared to the figure at the beginning of 2018, the amount of public debt in dollar terms decreased by 2.2%, and in the hryvnia equivalent – by 1.4%.

UNIAN memo. Ukraine's public and publicly guaranteed debt in 2017 increased by 7.5% to $76.3 billion and by 11% to UAH 2.1 trillion in the hryvnia equivalent.
On August 22, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a three-year government debt management strategy, suggesting it be reduced by the end of 2020 to a level no higher than 49% of GDP, and the debt structure optimized.
