Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says that about seven million households in Ukraine are entitled to utilities subsidies.

"We, at the government level, have removed the restrictions that prevented getting the aid. Special commissions have been set up at social security agencies to consider all the circumstances of each family in need of a subsidy," the government's press service quoted Groysman as saying at a meeting covering the launch of the heating season. "I would ask the commissions to communicate with people and support them if there are real circumstances in their life. It should be made very clear to everyone that it cannot be otherwise."

He also instructed Deputy Prime Minister Hennadiy Zubko to actively monitor the situation in connection with the start of the heating season in the regions.
