Ukraine, Israel to sign free trade deal by year-end: Kubiv

Israel will become the 46th country with which Ukraine has a free trade area.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv has announced Ukraine and Israel will sign an agreement on a free trade area (FTA) by the end of 2018.

"The agreement will be signed before the end of this year. Israel will become the 46th country with which Ukraine has a free trade area," Kubiv told a government meeting on Wednesday, October 31.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine and Israel on March 28 completed negotiations on the creation of a free trade area (FTA). The parties also approved a plan for further signing of the deal, which envisages the verification of the text of the FTA deal and its submission to the relevant authorities of both countries.
