National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine said Ukraine by November had accumulated record high natural gas reserves in its underground storage facilities (USFs) over the past four years.

"As of October 30, 2018, some 17.1 billion cubic meters [bcm] of gas have been accumulated in the underground storage facilities, which is a record high over the past four years," the company's press service said in a Thursday statement.

Natural gas reserves in Ukraine's USFs as of October 30, 2017, were estimated at 16.8 bcm, which was 2% down against the indicator posted this year. At the same time, the balance at the end of the 2017/2018 heating season stood at 7.4 bcm, the statement said.
