First Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Kateryna Rozhkova says the regulator sees no threats to the Ukrainian financial system from the sanctions imposed by Russia against 68 Ukrainian companies and 322 citizens.

"We need a more detailed analysis. But given that the majority of sanctions concerns individuals, we hope that they haven't kept their assets in Russia after it started its aggression [against Ukraine]," the NBU's press service quoted Rozhkova as saying on November 1.

"We also expect that they [the bank staff] don't do transactions with Russian counterparties," she added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on Thursday, November 1, Russia imposed sanctions against 68 Ukrainian companies and 322 citizens in the form of blocking non-cash funds, uncertified securities, and property in the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as banning the transfer of funds outside Russia.
