The earlier seized Nord fishing vessel flying a Russian flag, which had been put up for sale by Ukraine's state-run SETAM (OpenMarket), has not been sold as the applications of all 12 potential participants were rejected.
The auction was scheduled for 09:00 Kyiv time on November 7 with the lot's starting price of UAH 1.626,181 million (US$58,155) and a bid increment of over UAH 16,000 ($572), according to the official bidding data.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian border guards on March 25 detained in the Sea of Azov the Nord fishing vessel flying a Russian flag. The Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office of Crimea opened a criminal case into the fact that the vessel had arrived from the Russian annexed city of Kerch, a port officially closed down by the Ukrainian government.

In response, the Department of the FSB of Russia in Crimea opened a criminal case against Ukrainian border guards who had detained the ship. Ukraine deemed the act as "pressure on the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine."
On October 19, The Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office of Crimea handed over the detained Nord vessel to the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA).
The vessel was put up for sale on October 23.
UNIAN memo. ARMA is a special government body, authorized to formulate and implement state policy in the sphere of tracing and finding assets that are subject to seizure, as well as management of seized assets in criminal proceedings.
The state-owned SETAM has been operating since October 26, 2015. Prior to that, from May 1, 2014, SETAM's electronic trading system was introduced as an experiment in three Ukrainian regions. In September 2017, the enterprise changed the name of its e-trading platform for OpenMarket.
