Ukraine reports budget deficit at $171.6 mln over Jan-Oct

The state budget of Ukraine in January-September 2018 was reduced with a deficit of UAH 7.4 billion.

The deficit of Ukraine's state budget in January-October 2018 was estimated at UAH UAH 4.8 billion, or US$171.56, against the target ceiling of UAH 80.6 billion ($2.88 billion), the finance ministry reported.

The general budget fund's deficit amounted to UAH 10.5 billion ($375.2 million) against the target deficit for the said period set at UAH 57.4 billion ($2.05 billion).

Also, the Ministry of Finance reports that in January-October 2018, state budget revenues increased by 15.4% year on year, amounting to UAH747.4 billion ($26.71 billion).

The implementation of the budget list for 10 months was at 99.7%.

According to the report, the revenues of the budget's general fund in Jan-Oct 2018 amounted to UAH 673.2 billion ($24.06 billion), which is UAH 105.1 billion, or $3.75 billion, (18.5%) more than in the same period last year.

UNIAN memo. The 2017 state budget of Ukraine saw a deficit of UAH 47.850 billion (or $1.7 billion), which was 33.4% down against 2016. The 2018 budget sets out revenues in the amount of UAH 917.9 billion, expenses at UAH 991.7 billion, and the deficit ceiling of UAH 80.6 billion, or 2.4% of GDP.
