On Nov 14, the first train arrived in Mukachevo from Budapest. The train is one of those expected to shortly start running along the new route on a regular basis.
So far, this is only a dry run along the newly-built standard gauge line, the Centre for Transport Strategies reported with reference to mukachevo.net.

Earlier it was announced the price of tickets would start from UAH 700 (US$25) to UAH 1,100 (US$39). The Mukachevo-Chop-Budapest train will also run through the Hungarian cities of Debrecen and Nyiregyhaza. The railways are not yet reporting the start of the regular flights.

As UNIAN reported, Ukrainian state-run railways operator JSC Ukrzaliznytsia earlier stated that it planned together with the Hungarian state railways to launch a direct railway service between Mukachevo and Budapest.
According to Acting CEO of Ukrzaliznytsia Yevhen Kravtsov, it will take six hours for the new train to get to the Hungarian capital.
