The truck is designed for loading of solid household waste. The vehicles will be used in cities of European Union member states, the Ukrainian news outlet Ukrayinska Pravda reported on November 22, referring to the Corporation's press service.

"This electric vehicle meets modern technical standards and is manufactured in accordance with European environmental standards. Noteworthy, the European Union plans to ban vehicles with diesel engines in its cities from 2025. Therefore, the production of such trucks is not just a promising area in the industry but also a necessity in the conditions of the newest market," the press service said.

The Corporation says that eco-friendly vehicles is a promising niche for Ukraine. The Ukrainian company sees prospects for the manufacture of electric special purpose vehicles for the EU countries where demand for such environmentally friendly equipment is high. Ukrainian cities may also be interested in such electric vehicles if they determine sustainability as a decisive factor.

The Ukrainian-made electric truck has received the positive feedback from Banke Electromotive. Its serial production will be launched under a large-scale contract after the certification procedure in Denmark is completed.

At the same time, the Corporation says that Ukraine has not yet shown significant interest in such equipment, which replaces outdated cars worldwide, as they harm the environment.
