The market price of an unarmoured model of the Mercedes-Benz S600 is about US$177,179.
The motor department of Ukraine's State Management of Affairs plans to buy by the end of 2018 two armored Mercedes-Benz S600 cars from Ltd. Automobile House Ukraine – Mercedes-Benz, which is an official representative of Mercedes-Benz in Ukraine.
The State Management of Affairs is a Ukrainian government agency that is responsible for the management of public and social services provided to the president, parliament, the Cabinet of Ministers, and the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine.

The price of the two black metallic cars is UAH 41.985 million (US$1.5 million), including VAT.
A letter of intent to sign the relevant contract was posted via the ProZorro public e-procurement system on November 29.
The procurement involves a negotiation procedure rather than an open tender. That is, the customer concludes a procurement contract after having held talks with one or more bidders.
"If a customer cancels a tender twice due to the lack of bidders, the subject matter of the procurement, its technical and quality characteristics, as well as the requirements for a bidder shall not differ from the requirements that were specified by the customer in the tender documentation," reads a document on the rationale for the use of the negotiation procedure.
The cars are to be delivered by December 30, 2018.

The motor department of Ukraine's State Management of Affairs has already conducted a similar tender this year. Car Tuning Exclusive LTD then offered two Mercedes-Benz S650 Maybach cars for UAH 30.37 million ($1 million), ProZorro said. But the tender was canceled on July 16 due to the fact that fewer than two companies had submitted their bids.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the South-Western Railways, a branch of the Ukrainian state-owned railway company Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), has purchased five Toyota cars worth UAH 3.609 million ($127,888) in 2018.
