Ukraine sees agriculture output growth in Jan-Nov

Agricultural production in Ukraine in January-November 2018 rose by 8.2% year-over-year (y-o-y).

In particular, agricultural enterprises increased production by 13.4% over the period under review, while private farmers saw their output grow by 2%, according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service.

Production of crops in the 11 months of 2018 rose by 11.2% y-o-y. Noteworthy, private farmers increased their crops output by 2.9%, while agri-businesses' production grew by 16.5%.

At the same time, livestock production increased by 0.4% over the period under review. In particular, livestock output at private farms declined by 1.8%, while agricultural enterprises saw a 2.9% increase in their production.

The report does not include information from temporarily occupied areas in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, and Donbas, it said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's agricultural production dropped by 2.7% in 2017 against 2016.

In particular, agricultural enterprises reduced production by 3.9%, while private farmers' output shrank by 1.2%.
