Ukraine's Anti-Raider Commission returns almost 6,000 ha of land to citizens

The Commission under the Justice Ministry of Ukraine for the consideration of complaints in the field of state registration (Anti-Raider Commission) in 2018 canceled the illegal registration of almost 6,000 hectares of land and more than 100,000 square meters of real estate.

"The 2018 year has been a period of hard work for the Anti-Raider Commission. Lawyers, agricultural and business associations, entrepreneurs, and citizens actively appealed to the Commission as they realized that here they can quickly have their violated property rights restored, without plunging into many years' judicial red tape. More than 400 satisfied complaints have proved this. The Commission canceled the illegal registration of almost 6,000 hectares of land and over 100,000 square meters of real estate," the ministry's press service quoted Deputy Minister of Justice for State Registration Iryna Sadovska as saying on December 17.

According to the official, among the high-profile cases is the abolition of illegal registration that led to the loss of real estate by baby food producer LLC Econia.

"The Commission also promptly got involved in settling the situation with the seizure of a grain elevator at the farm "Strohiy A.F.," which was accompanied by shooting. Literally within 10 days, the Ministry of Justice's Commission considered the complaint and returned the property to the rightful owner," the deputy justice minister said.

In late November, the Commission satisfied the complaint by the Kremenetsko-Pochaivsky State Historic and Architectural Reserve and canceled the illegal re-registration of the Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra's facilities.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Anti-Raider Commission in 2017 returned 6,200 land plots, with a total area of over 8,500 hectares, and 130,000 square meters of real estate to their lawful owners, as well as satisfied 600 complaints.
