Ukraine's statistics agency keeps Q3 GDP estimate unchanged

Ukraine's GDP in annual terms grew for the 11th consecutive quarter, with growth slowing for the second consecutive quarter.

The State Statistics Service of Ukraine did not change its estimate of Ukraine's real GDP growth in the third quarter of 2018 (Q3), retaining it at 2.8% year-over-year (y-o-y), which corresponds to the previously released report.

The Service also confirmed its estimate of the country's GDP growth in Q3 2018 against Q2 2018 at 0.4%, taking into account the seasonal factor, according to the agency's website.

The country's nominal GDP in Q3 was estimated at UAH 994.4 billion (US$35.7 billion), while GDP per person stood at UAH 23,506 ($844).

As UNIAN reported earlier, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine revised upwards its estimate of Ukraine's real GDP growth in 2017 to 2.5% from 2.2%.

The National Bank forecasts a 3.4% increase in Ukraine's GDP in 2018, while the Ukrainian government expects economic growth at 3.2%.

Ukraine's key lender, the International Monetary Fund, forecasts a 3.3% GDP growth in Ukraine in 2018, while the World Bank predicts a 3.5% increase.
