The Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers of Poland believes that the possible outflow of Ukrainian workers to Germany could inflict serious damage to the Polish economy.

On December 9, the German government approved a bill that provides for the abolition from 2020 of priority conditions in employment of own citizens and those of other EU countries, the Novoye Vremya weekly wrote, citing Die Welt.

If approved by the Bundestag, the bill will allow qualified workers from Ukraine to find legal jobs in Germany.

According to estimates of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers of Poland, some 500,000 Ukrainians could leave the country's labor market. However, in the worst-case scenario, the figure will be twice as large.

The Organization has called on the Polish government to enhance migration legislation in order to attract foreign workers.
