Ukraine's GDP to grow by over 3% in 2018 – Kubiv

The forecast remains positive, the official said.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv says the growth of Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) in 2018 will exceed 3%.

"The forecast remains positive. At the end of the year, the GDP will grow by over 3%," he said at a government meeting on December 27.

As UNIAN reported earlier, experts who participated in the discussion on macroeconomic analysis and forecasting at the Economic Development and Trade Ministry in December, retained the 2019 forecast for Ukraine's GDP at 3%.

The National Bank forecasts a 3.4% increase in Ukraine's GDP in 2018, while the Ukrainian government expects economic growth at 3.2%.

Ukraine's key lender, the International Monetary Fund, forecasts a 3.3% GDP growth in Ukraine in 2018, while the World Bank predicts a 3.5% increase.
