The consensus forecast assumes a 13% increase in Ukrainian exports in 2019.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says Ukraine's economy may grow by 3.5% in 2019, according to a consensus forecast for Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) as of December 2018.
"As for 2019, we forecast further growth. According to the December consensus forecast, we can talk about a 3.5% increase. I emphasize that the [country's] economy can grow more," he said at a government meeting on December 27.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv added that the consensus forecast assumed a 13% increase in Ukrainian exports the following year, while industry is expected to grow by 4%.
As UNIAN reported earlier, experts who took part in a panel on macroeconomic forecasts at the Economic Development and Trade Ministry in December retained the 2019 forecast for Ukraine's GDP at 3%.
The National Bank forecasts a 3.4% increase in Ukraine's GDP in 2018, while the Ukrainian government expects economic growth at 3.2%.
Ukraine's key lender, the International Monetary Fund, forecasts a 3.3% GDP growth in Ukraine in 2018, while the World Bank predicts a 3.5% increase.
