Ukraine exports over 23 mln tonnes of grain since July 1, 2018

Ukrainian agribusinesses exported over 23.1 million tonnes of grain and 3.3 million tonnes of oilseeds from July 1, 2018, when the 2018-2019 marketing year (MY) began.

In particular, Ukraine exported over 10.3 million tonnes of wheat, including 6.4 million tonnes of food-grade wheat and almost 4 million tonnes of fodder wheat, the State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service said.

What is more, over 3 million tonnes of barley and over 9 million tonnes of maize were shipped abroad.

Noteworthy, Ukrainian agrarians exported over 21 million tonnes of grain as of December 28 in the 2016-2017 MY, the report said.

Ukrainian agribusinesses shipped abroad over 3 million tonnes of oilseeds from July 1, 2018 to December 28, 2018, against 3.3 million tonnes of the produce exported over the same period in the 2017-2018 MY.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian agrarians in the 2017-2018 MY exported 39.4 million tonnes of grain, according to preliminary data, the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry said.
