Lviv Airport boosts passenger flow by 48% in 2018, to almost 1.6 mln people

Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport in 2018 boosted its passenger flow by 48% from 2017, to 1.598 million people.

The airport in 2018 handled 1,390 passengers flying on international routes and 208,000 people on domestic ones, it said, according to the airport's press service.

At the same time, the passenger flow in December 2018 alone was 130,600 people, which was 59.3% up year-over-year.

The number of flights made from/to the airport rose by 27.9%, to 1,221.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Lviv's airport in 2017 boosted the passenger flow by 46.3% against 2016, to 1.08 million people.

In 2011, the airport underwent reconstruction. A new terminal with a total area of 48,000 square meters was built, its runway was renovated. The airport is designed for servicing aircraft of "A", "B", "C" classes, as well as "D" class (Boeing-767).
