Money left on Ukrainian Treasury's account shrinks by 41.2% as of Jan 1

The balance on the single account as of January 1, 2019, was 1.9 times up from the level reported on January 1, 2018.

The balance of money on the single account of Ukraine's State Treasury Service was estimated at UAH 9.861 billion (US$356 million) as of January 1, 2019, which was 41.2% down from the level recorded as of December 1, 2018.

At the same time, the balance on the single account as of January 1, 2019, was 1.9 times up from the level reported on January 1, 2018, the State Treasury Service said on its website.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the balance of funds on the Treasury's single account was estimated at UAH 5.099 billion ($184 million) as of January 1, 2018, which was 64.3% down from the figure as of January 1, 2017.

The balance of funds on the single treasury account is not a constant value. It is subject to increases due to revenues from taxes and other mandatory payments to the state and local budgets and it decreases amid budget spending peaks.
