The new train will link Donbas with a major regional center, Kharkiv.
Ukraine is to launch a new train on January 18 from the town of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region to the city of Kharkiv to expand the railway service in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.
"Ukrzaliznytsia continues to expand the railway service between Donbas and other regions in the country. From January 18, train No. 205/206 between Pokrovsk and Kharkiv is to be launched. It will run on Fridays and Sundays," the Ukrainian railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia's press service said.
The train will depart from Pokrovsk at 09:20 local time and arrive in Kharkiv at 14:49 local time. It will depart from Kharkiv at 16:35 and arrive in Pokrovsk at 22:01.

The train will run with stops at Mykolaivka-Donets, Bohuslavsky, Pavlohrad-1, Lozova, Krasnopavlivka and Lykhachove stations.
Ukrzaliznytsia CEO Yevhen Kravtsov says the new train will link Donbas with a major regional center, Kharkiv.
"The schedule of the train is designed so that passengers, who will arrive in Kharkiv, can transfer to trains running to other regions of Ukraine. In particular, these are Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kherson, Novo-Oleksiyivka in Kherson region, and other cities and towns," Kravtsov said.
Ukrzaliznytsia also said that its updated train schedule for 2019 was designed to improve the rail link between eastern and western Ukraine.
