The company also stopped offering such economy cars in the capital city of Kyiv as Daewoo Matiz, Daewoo Sens, Chevrolet Lanos, Chevrolet Matiz, Geely CK, and Chery Kimo, the Ukrainian online newspaper Ukrayinska Pravda reported on January 14, referring to the CEO.

"The passenger service model, which we have implemented and developed in Ukraine, allows Uklon to operate without cars of the said brands," Diatlenko said.

Uklon earlier promised to stop offering Daewoo Lanos cars in Kyiv in December 2017. The company then stopped adding new cars of this model to its fleet from 2018.

Uklon's competitor, Uber, began using Daewoo Lanos in February 2017, despite initial statements by its ex-CEO Arkadiy Vershebenyuk not to use this make of car.

Uklon also plans to disconnect cars with foreign registration plates from its system.

Uklon was created by Ukrainian programmer Vitaliy Diatlenko in March 2010 as a taxi aggregator servicing taxi drivers and taxi companies, but later it started hiring own drivers.
