Ukrainians submitted more than 622,000 declarations of assets.
Ukrainian citizens declared UAH 73.1 billion (US$2.6 billion) in income received in 2017 during the 2018 declaration campaign, which was 16% up from the previous campaign.
Ukrainians submitted more than 622,000 declarations of assets in 2018, which is almost the same number as in the previous year (636,000 declarations in 2017), the State Fiscal Service (SFS) of Ukraine said.

At the same time, the number of taxpayers who declared profits from operations with investment assets increased by 20%, while the number of those who received income from the sale of movable and immovable property grew by 23%.
A total of UAH 2.3 billion ($82.1 million) in individual income tax and UAH 302.7 million ($10.8 million) in war tax were declared for payment, which exceeded the figures of the corresponding period in 2017 by 24% and 12%, respectively.
In particular, citizens declared UAH 13.5 billion ($481.8 million) in exempt income; UAH 13.2 billion ($471.1 million) in other incomes; UAH 8.4 billion ($299.8 million) in foreign income; UAH 7.4 billion ($264.1 million) in income from property inheritance (receipt as a gift); and UAH 6.1 billion ($217.7 million) in revenue from operations for the sale (exchange) of movable and immovable property.
The number of citizens who applied for tax refunds in 2018 increased by 4% from the previous year, to more than 143,000 people.
As UNIAN reported earlier, some 513,000 Ukrainians declared their assets during the declaration campaign in 2017. The total amount of declared assets was estimated at UAH 50.8 billion ($1.8 billion), which was 4% higher than the figure in 2016. Payments of individual income tax amounted to UAH 1.62 billion ($57.8 million), and those of war tax to UAH 226.5 million ($8.1 million).
