As UNIAN reported earlier, in May of last year, the Government approved the list of large-scale privatization objects to be sold in 2018, which included 23 enterprises.

The list named five energy companies (Ternopiloblenergo, Zaporozhiaoblenergo, Kharkivoblenergo, Mykolayivoblenergo, and Khmelnytskoblenergo) and four CHPPs (Kherson CHPP, Dnipro CHPP," Kryvyi Rih CHPP, and Severodonetsk CHPP), as well Centrenergo.

The list also included the United Mining and Chemical Company, the Krasnolymanska coal company, Turboatom, Azovmash, Electrotyazhmash, Dnipro-based Electric Locomotive Building Plant, Odesa Portside Chemical Plant, Sumykhimprom, Zaporizhia Titanium and Magnesium Combine, President Hotel, OJSC Oriana, Private JSC Indar, and Ukragrolizing.

In December 2018, it was decided to cancel the auction to sell a state-owned share of stakes in Centrenergo with a starting price of almost UAH 6 billion.

Last year, the State Property Fund did not sell any of the SOEs mentioned, failing the budget target set at more than UAH 23 billion.

In 2019, the government seeks to attract UAH 17 billion from privatization.
