Ukraine's state-run SETAM (OpenMarket) has repeatedly put up for sale Russian Transaero's Boeing B 737/524 passenger aircraft that was earlier seized over the air carrier's debt before Kyiv International Airport.

The starting price was UAH 17.996 million (US$649,675).

The seized aircraft is now parked at the Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany), according to the company press service.

It is noted that this Boeing made its maiden flight on June 6, 1998. Its last flight was recorded in October 2015.

The aircraft's technical status and the need for scheduled maintenance or repair works remain unknown, the report said.

The re-bidding is scheduled for February 14, 2019.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the plane was arrested over Russian-based Transaero's debt of about UAH 11 million ($397,112) before the Kyiv International Airport. The plane arrived from Moscow in 2015. In late May 2018, the aircraft was put up for sale for UAH 35.9 million ($1.3 million). However, the auction was called off.

UNIAN memo. The state-owned SETAM has been operating since October 26, 2015. Prior to that, from May 1, 2014, SETAM's electronic trading system was introduced as an experiment in three Ukrainian regions.

In September 2017, the enterprise changed the name of its e-trading platform for OpenMarket, which began to apply the innovative cryptographic blockchain protection technology. The technology was introduced into the e-trading system of seized property jointly with the State Agency for e-Governance of Ukraine, the international company BitFury and the Eastern Europe Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
