"By a decision of January 22, 2019, the court upheld a lawsuit lodged by NGO Ukrainian Institute for Human Rights against Naftogaz for the provision of information regarding the names, surnames and patronymic names, as well as the positions of all its employees and board members who received bonuses after the victory in a gas dispute at the Stockholm Arbitration with Gazprom," the NGO wrote on Facebook on January 28.

"It is not for the first time when the court indicates that information about wages, bonuses, financial aid, and any other payments to Naftogaz management is the information of public interest under the Law of Ukraine 'On Access to Public Information,'" the NGO added.

However, according to the register of judicial decisions, Naftogaz refused to provide public information and copies of documents in response to a request dated July 4, 2018, for disclosure of public records, citing the confidentiality of the information.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Naftogaz Supervisory Board decided to pay $46.3 million in bonuses to its managers following the victory in the Gazprom legal battle.

Taking into account the arbitration decision under the gas transit contract, Gazprom must pay a total of $2.6 billion to Naftogaz.

In September of 2018, Kyiv's Shevchenkivsky district court ruled out to fine Naftogaz CEO Kobolyev for UAH 1,700 (US$61) due to his failure to provide information on the said bonuses that was requested by a parliamentarian.
