The regulator expects some further growth in remittances.
The volume of remittances from labor migrants to Ukraine in 2018 was about $11 billion, acting NBU Governor Kateryna Rozhkova told a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
“The volume of remittances from labor migrants last year was about $11 billion,” Rozhkova said.

According to the official, the National Bank expects a slowdown in labor migration; however, it predicts some growth in remittances from labor migrants due to a nominal increase in their income.
As UNIAN reported earlier, labor migrants in January-July 2018 transferred to Ukraine a total of $6.3 billion.
In 2017, the volume of private remittances to Ukraine amounted to $9.3 billion, which is 24% higher than the figure for 2016.
