The last time the banking system made a profit was four years ago.
Ukraine's operating banks received a net profit of UAH 21.7 billion (US$802.8 million) in 2018, which is the maximum historical indicator.
Prior to that, the last time the banking system made a profit four years ago, in 2013, at the level of UAH 1.4 billion (US$51.7 million), as reported on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine.
